  This has been my home church for years. Before joining, when I was "shopping" for a new church, it was so hard to find a church that honored tradition but embraced contemporary worship. I feel like I searched all over Polk County for a church that would love me in spite of my shortcomings and challenge me to grow in my relationship with God. The people at this church are my family away from family and I am blessed over and over by the community we share. Shepherd's Community is the perfect spiritual home for me and my kids!

  There has to be an alignment between man and God in order for the Holy Spirit to be active. Shepherd Community United Methodist Church's has the environment of awesome people seeking God, and a pastor leading us to God. It is evident that Christ's presence is here through the love and passion of our pastor, Mark Reynolds. Jesus is our Rock.

  What a wonderful, exciting, and happening place. The Holy Spirit is working overtime! I have been a member for several years. The new pastor's sermons are top notch and practical. He stimulates love for Jesus and developing Christian maturity. His efforts to reach out to the community brings glory to God. His sermons are on You-Tube each week. The friendly atmosphere promotes friendships and support. What more can you ask for in a church. Come see us!

  I have been a member of Shepherd's for over 8 years now. I felt it was a good fit for me on my first visit and my faith has grown so much over the years from the weekly messages to the classes and fellowship provided. I am single with no children at home and I have always felt not only welcomed but loved by our church family. I know God is working in a mighty way and am thrilled to see so many new faces over the years. If this church doesn't meet your needs, I would encourage you to examine your attitude and heart - God's love is there if you are willing to accept it. It may not fit the needs of all but I would encourage anyone to give us a try. You will find a lot of open, honest, caring and down to earth people that are on the path of learning to love others as Christ loves us.

  Being new to the Church, my family and I have been more than well received. People are real and love God. Pastor Mark Reynolds is great communicator of the Gospel and is truly interested in the people. It's Alive and Growing and if you don't have a Church home this is the perfect place for you.
